Cell Body
- Contains the nucleus and the cytoplasm
- Is the portion of a nerve cell that contains the nucleus but does not include the dendrites or axon
- If a nucleus inside a cell body was damaged or injured, then the cell would die
- A nucleus is to a cell like a heart or brain is to a human
- Is imperative in three big ways: providing energy, making new cells, and repairing cells that become old
- Every living thing in this world is made up of cells that perform different tasks in their bodies, aimed at supporting the life of that organism
