- Located at the bottom of the brain, with the enormous mass of the cerebral cortex above
- Movements become less coordinated after any damage. Balance will also be an issue when damaged
- The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls coordination and balance. It also plays an important role in memory
- In humans, the cerebellum constitutes about ten percent of the total brain weight
